About Godly Friendships

What Is Godly Friendships?

Godly Friendships is a Christ-centered online community where women can meet, have conversations about life and faith, encourage one another, and develop meaningful friendships.

We all bring different experiences and perspectives to our friendships. One woman may be navigating a season another woman has already walked through. Someone may have experience in an area where another woman is just beginning. We can learn from each other, share what we’ve experienced, and offer encouragement along the way.

Through conversations and opportunities to connect, Godly Friendships makes room for women to get to know one another and build friendships over time.

Sometimes Another Woman Sees What You Don't

One of the gifts of friendship is having women in our lives who sometimes see things we have overlooked in ourselves.

A friend may notice how well you handle certain situations, the things people consistently trust you with, or an ability you’ve stopped thinking much about because it comes naturally to you.

She may ask a question or share an observation that helps you see something in a new way. You still get to decide what to do with it, but sometimes a conversation with a friend can open your eyes to possibilities you hadn’t considered.

That kind of encouragement and learning from one another is also part of the thinking behind something new coming to Godly Friendships.

Coming to Godly Friendships

I've Been Building Something New

The idea for Business & Entrepreneurship began while I was reading the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25 and thinking about stewardship.

I started thinking about what it means to recognize what God has placed in our hands and what we do with it. Not just money, but our gifts, abilities, knowledge, experiences, opportunities, and the things we've learned how to do.

That question also made me look differently at something in my own life that I had overlooked for a long time.

When someone shares a business idea with me, I often begin to see the structure around it: what's missing, what needs to happen next, what needs to be organized, and how the idea could become something that works.

Over time, I came to understand that one of the ways God had gifted me was as a midwife, someone who can come alongside another person carrying a vision and help her bring it to life.

That realization helped lead me to begin building Business & Entrepreneurship for Godly Friendships.

But stewardship doesn't automatically mean entrepreneurship. Some women may feel called to start a business, while others may want to develop their gifts, learn something new, or help bring someone else’s vision to life. Business & Entrepreneurship is being created to help women explore what they have to offer and consider how they might use it.

You Don't Need a Business Idea to Start Here

You may already have something you want to build, or you may be the woman who is good at helping someone else take an idea and make it work.

Or perhaps you’re interested in business but still figuring out where you fit.

Business & Entrepreneurship is being created with room for all three.

Visionary / Founder

For women who want to explore or build something of their own.

Builder / Steward

For women who enjoy using their gifts and abilities to help someone else turn an idea into something that works.

Still Discerning

For women who want to learn, explore what they have, and understand business before deciding what direction makes sense for them.

You don't have to choose one of these descriptions or stay in the same place as you learn. They're simply different ways you might begin.
